About halfway along the ancient Etruscan road of the “Seven Bridges” that linked Florence and Arezzo, also known as “The Road of the Parish Churches”, you encounter Castelfranco di Sopra, a characteristic medieval village that served as a stronghold in the days in which the Medici family dominated Florence and had to defend its territory against the forays of neighbouring Arezzo.
As you climb from “Castello”, situated 400 m above sea level, to an altitude of 800 m, you will leave behind the chaotic rhythms that modern life imposes further down in the valley and enter our remote, private and exclusive world that is completely immersed in an unspoilt natural setting.
